Smith busy breaking down barriers in Indigenous education
Smith busy breaking down barriers in Indigenous education - Having previously enjoyed a successful career as an engineer, during which time he volunteered for 20-30 hours a week with St Vincent De Paul’s soup vans, in the late 2000s Smith decided a career in education beckoned, and spent a year studying teaching post-grad at ACU. After three years teaching in Victorian schools, he leapt at an opportunity to work in a remote NT community.
