Yes, violence has always existed in Aboriginal ... - The Australian

JUST over 20 years ago an article by Margaret Harris appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, titled "Black violence: why whites shouldn't feel guilty".
It argued that because there was violence in Aboriginal societies before colonisation, and as most contemporary perpetrators and victims were Aboriginal, Europeans bore no responsibility. An extract from a new book by Stephanie Jarrett that appeared in Inquirer last month has the same starting point.
